How Reiki
Therapy Works:
Reiki brings neurological stimulation through the element of consciousness– restoring cellular intelligence/prana, assisting neuroplasticity of the brain, and gently supporting natural detoxification and rejuvenation processes of the mind/body.

Modern Reiki is an evolving practice originating in Japan from Usui Sensei in the 1920s, however, the spiritual science that Reiki works through is far more ancient than the 1900s. Reiki is 20th century Tantric Buddhism— a descendant and fusion of Zen, and Pure Land Buddhism, Shinto, Tao, Confucianism, Dharma, Sutra, and Tantra all beautifully simplified into this modern non-denominational practice.
The system of Reiki
has five elements;
the Reiki precepts,
meditations,
hands-on healing,
symbols/mantras,
and the reiju/attunement.
From these elements, a diverse number of techniques, symbols, and lineages have evolved. I incorporate both traditional practice and modern adaptation in my own discipline and teachings, reflecting on the esoteric Tantric root of the practice.
